www.handball-euro2012.atIm Fokus der Ausstellung stehen Gemälde und Skulpturen der 1950er bis 1970er-Jahre aus der Sammlung des Kunstmuseums Basel, ergänzt um ausgewählte Leihgaben.
Sie zeigen eine künstlerische Entwicklungslinie auf, welche die wohl herausragendsten Schaffensphasen Twomblys umfasst.
Zum ersten Mal wird das hochformatige Gemälde «Untitled», 1969 (Bolsena), präsentiert, ein Geschenk von Katharina und Wilfrid Steib:

Together they trace the development of what is arguably Twombly’s most outstanding artistic period.
The exhibition will also present Twombly’s painting “Untitled”, 1969 (Bolsena) for the first time, a gift from Katharina and Wilfrid Steib.
