Die Kongregation der Heiligen Römischen Universalen Inquisition, auch Heiliges Offizium genannt, war eine Zentralbehörde der katholischen Kirche, die im Jahre 1542 von Papst Paul III durch den Bulle Licet ab initio geschaffen wurde.
Er entspricht der alten Inquisition und wird heute Kongregation für die Glaubenslehre genannt.
