GIZ has been working in Namibia on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) since the country gained its independence in 1990.
We opened an office in the capital Windhoek in 1994.

Die GIZ arbeitet seit der Unabhängigkeit des Landes 1990 im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) sowie des Bundesministeriums für Umwelt, Naturschutz, Bau und Reaktorsicherheit (BMUB) mit Namibia zusammen.
1994 wurde in der Hauptstadt Windhoek ein Büro eröffnet.

Since 2008 we have received commissions from the German Federal Foreign Office and since 2012 we have also operated on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
In Colombia a total of 150 experts, largely Colombian, among them 10 CIM experts, are currently working for GIZ.

In Kolumbien sind insgesamt etwa 150 zum großen Teil kolumbianische und deutsche Fachkräfte, unter ihnen 10 integrierte CIM-Fachkräfte, für die GIZ tätig.

www.giz.deGIZ has been working in the Caribbean for more than 30 years.
Alongside the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), other donors, including the German Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) and the European Union, are also involved in cooperation with this region.
The country office in the Dominican Republic primarily manages transnational programmes with regional partners including the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM), cooperation with Haiti and cross-border measures involving the Dominican Republic and Haiti.

GIZ’s main commissioning party in Laos is the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), but it also implements projects on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB).
It has a close working relationship with KfW Development Bank and cooperates with other development partners in Laos, including the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), AustralinAid and MMG/Lane Xang Minerals Ltd.
