Unsere Gruppe hat vier Hauptforschungsaktivitäten :
(i) das „mitotic exit network“ (MEN), (ii) ein MEN-ähnliches Netzwerk in Wirbeltierzellen, (iii) Komponenten der mitotischen Spindel und (iv) die Analyse eines neuen Kontrollmechanismus, der essentiell wird, wenn das Hefezentrosom nicht korrekt in die Kernhülle integriert ist.
Diese Fragestellungen werden mittels eines breiten Methodenspektrums einschließlich der Hefe-Genetik, Biochemie, Elektronenmikroskopie, „Live Cell Imaging“, FRET und Molekularbiolgie, bearbeitet.

(i) The mitotic exit network (MEN), (ii) a MEN-like network in vertebrate cells, (iii) components of the mitotic spindle, and (iv) the analysis of a novel control mechanism that becomes essential when the yeast centrosome is not correctly embedded into the nuclear envelope.
Questions are addressed using a broad range of methods including yeast genetics, biochemistry, electron microscopy, live cell imaging, FRET, and molecular biology.
