Hingegen ist für Niedertemperaturbrennstoffz... wie z.B. PEMFC eine höhere Kohlenmonoxidkonzentration im Synthesegas kritisch, da sie als Katalysatorgift wirkt und so zu einem erheblichen Leistungsverlust führen kann.
Höhere Kohlenwasserstoffe und Schwefelkomponenten im Reformat sind weitere für die Leistungsfähigkeit von Brennstoffzellen kritische Komponenten.
