With the half-timbered building in Knesebeck, the planners even met the EnEV requirements for new buildings.
Apart from the interior insulation of the half-timbering, the following measures were necessary for this:
the roof and floor were insulated with isofloc cellulose insulation in thicknesses of 30 and 16 cm respectively.
