Zwischen den Schwierigkeiten der Kriegswirtschaft ( Arbeitskräftemangel, Materialmangel, Transportprobleme ), den unterschiedlichen Interessen mehrerer staatlicher Stellen ( etwa Görings Vierjahresplanbehörde, das WVHA, die SS ) und den örtlichen Gegebenheiten ( etwa erwies sich der lehmige Boden als instabil, die Bauten mussten auf Pfähle gesetzt werden ) musste die Betriebsleitung die Bauarbeiten möglichst plangemäß vorantreiben.
Hier kam der Betriebsleitung der gute Kontakt zu Carl Krauch, dem Generalbevollmächtigten für Sonderfragen der chemischen Industrie und Vorsitzenden des Aufsichtsrates der I.G. Farben, sowie der SS vor Ort zustatten.
Mit der Betriebsordnung der I.G. Auschwitz trat zum 1. Januar 1942 in deutlicher Formulierung eine exemplarische Realisierung der NS-Ideologie in Kraft:

Here, the good contacts with Carl Krauch, the General Plenipotentiary for Special Questions of Chemical Production and the chairman of I.G. Farben’s managing board, came in handy for the plant management and also proved useful for the SS on site.
The work rules of I.G. Auschwitz came into effect on January 1, 1942, representing an exemplary realization of Nazi ideology, clearly formulated:
