Seit 2007 unterstützt die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit ( GIZ ) – zunächst als GTZ, seit dem 1. Januar 2011 mit DED und InWEnt unter dem Dach der GIZ – die indische Regierung bei der Konzeption und Umsetzung des Versicherungsmodells im Auftrag des Bundesministeriums für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung ( BMZ ).
Die achtzehn ausgewählten Programme aus sechzehn Ländern werden in der von UNDP und ILO herausgegebenen Publikation „ Sharing Innovative Experiences – Successful Social Protection “ vorgestellt.

The eighteen programmes in sixteen countries selected are to be presented in the UNDP / ILO publication entitled ‘ Sharing Innovative Experiences – Successful Social Protection ’.

www.giz.deDie Nominierungen für den Kippenhahn-Preis in diesem Jahr waren beide gleichermaßen exzellent und zugleich völlig unterschiedlich, so dass die Jury sich entschied, den Preis dieses Jahr zu teilen und die Auszeichnung an Florian Hanke und Francesco de Gasperin gemeinsam zu vergeben.
In seiner Veröffentlichung " Is strong SASI activity the key to successful neutrino-driven supernova explosions? " untersuchte Florian Hanke diese sehr energiereichen Ereignisse am Lebensende eines Sterns in drei Dimensionen und verglich seine Ergebnisse mit zweidimensionalen Modellen.

In his paper " Is strong SASI activity the key to successful neutrino-driven supernova explosions? ", Florian Hanke studied these violent events at the end of a star ’ s lifetime in three dimensions and compared the results to two-dimensional models.
