Wir halten dieses Vorgehen nicht für sinnvoll, da mit einer hautsparenden Entfernung des gesamten Drüsengewebes ( skin sparing Mastektomie ) der Patientin zum einen die postoperative Strahlentherapie des Restdrüsenkörpers erspart bleibt und zum anderen ein ästhetisch genauso gutes Ergebnis erzielt werden kann, wie bei der partiellen Mastektomie mit Rekonstruktion.
Entscheidend aber ist, dass man bei partieller Mastektomie und Rekonstruktion dann schon ein wertvolles Rekonstruktionsverfahren für die Wiederherstellung der gesamten Brust geopfert hat.
