Des Weiteren werden Technologien wie temperaturgeregelte CSTR ( complete stirred tank reactors ) Fermenter oder Trockenfermentierungsanlagen, Gasmotoren mit hohen Wirkungsgraden und hoher Verfügbarkeit, die Aufbereitung von Biogas zu Biomethan für Fahrzeugbetrieb und Netzeinspeisung und der Einsatz von Gasfackeln zur Entsorgung von Überschussgas berücksichtigt.
Zudem wird mehr Wert auf die Prozessüberwachung, die Sicherheitstechnik und die Verwertung der Rückstände der Fermenter in der Landwirtschaft gelegt.
