Blixa Bargeld recorded this unexpected album with film musician Teho Teardo.
Still Smile is a stunning case of subtle instrumentation with rhythmic string sections by the Balanescu Quartet and cellist Martina Bertoni, minimal orchestra bells, electronic accents and Bargeld’s voice.
Everything began at the theatre – the two artists first met in 2009 during preparations for the theatre piece Ingiuria and while working on the song Quit Life.
