Depending on effective radiation doses per calendar year, workplaces falls into one of the two following categories :
Category A: more than 6 mSv (millisievert) per year or
Category B: more than 1 mSv (millisievert) per year.

Both ordinances have established 1 millisievert (mSv) per calendar year as population limit value.
For work-related exposure to radioactivity, X-rays and cosmic radiation, the limit value is now 20 mSv per calendar year.

In beiden Verordnungen gilt als Grenzwert für die Bevölkerung 1 Millisievert (mSv) im Kalenderjahr.
Für den beruflichen Umgang mit Radioaktivität, Röntgenstrahlen und Höhenstrahlung liegt der Grenzwert bei 20 mSv im Kalenderjahr.
