This high-voltage Portuguese collective ( named after a popular neighbourhood in the suburbs of Lisbon ) have been smashing out their hybrid sound since 2005 ( a mix of Angolese kuduro, drum ’ n ’ bass, funky baile, breakbeat and even grime ) with the help of much percussion, bruising beats and violent bass.
With three albums under their belts (including the excellent " Black Diamond " in 2008) , an MTV Award (2008) and worldwide success, they will be storming on to the Asse plain for a red-hot show somewhere between gangsta rap and dancehall.
