Gudrun Fausel studied economics at the Free University of Berlin from 1987 to 1993 and completed her degree to become a commercial manager ( Diplom-Kauffrau ).
From 1993 to 2006 she worked as a member of the project staff and advisor in the building industry, at the BvS ( Bundesanstalt für vereinigungsbedingte Sonderaufgaben ( Federal Institute for extraordinary costs resulting from reunification ) ) and in business consultancy in the real estate sector.
From 2007 to 2010 Ms Fausel was a personal contact with case manager responsibilities U25 in the field of SGB II ( Book II of the Social Code ) at the Federal Employment Agency.
