The study of Earth processes has evolved to include numerous disciplines that address topics such as natural resources, geohazards, and global climate change.
At the Institute of Geology at the Leibniz University Hannover, research focuses on a variety of topics including the coupling of Earth surface processes (glacial erosion and sedimentation processes, evolution of topography under influence of surface processes and climate change) with subsurface processes (crustal deformation, evolution of orogens).
