Such infectious diseases as hepatitis, AIDS, and tumors caused by the Epstein-Barr virus are research areas ( 1 ) of Helmholtz Zentrum München.
Environmental health ( 2 ) is the leitmotif of our research: we examine the connections between human beings, their living conditions, and their genetic predisposition.

The focus of her research work is the analysis of adaptive immune responses to the oncogenic Epstein-Barr virus (EBV).
The objective of this research is the development of new strategies for the diagnosis, therapy and prevention of EBV-associated diseases.
