Hier befindet sich der Ausgangspunkt vieler Wege und Levada Wanderungen, die verschiedene Orte auf der Insel verbinden, wie zum Beispiel Rabaçal, Risco, 25 Fontes, Pico Ruivo, Ribeira do Alecrim, Lombo do Mouro und Bica da Cana, die alle durch den Laurissilva Wald führen.
Entlang der Hauptstraße gegen westen liegt das Pico da Urze Hotel und das Jungle Rain Café; ein großartiger Ort, um auszuruhen.
