Bis Mai 2010 dauert es dann noch, ehe die BVG, der Bezirk, der Denkmalschutz und Waltraud Ziervogel zu einer einvernehmlichen Lösung über den Verbleib der Bude unterm Viadukt kommen, Charlotte Konnopke erlebt das nicht mehr.
Sie stirbt 2009.

Unter anderem aus diesem Grund entschied man sich, ein Teilstück der Schwarzmeerküstenstraße als Viadukt zu gestalten, um so die Problematik der bergigen Topographie dieser Region zu umgehen.
