Nichtfinanzkonten umfassen traditionell die Produktion von Gütern und Dienstleistungen sowie die durch diese Aktivitäten erzielten Erträge während eines bestimmten Zeitraums.
Für die öffentlichen Verwaltungen werden diese Konten häufig in Form einer Tabelle dargestellt, die einerseits sämtliche Einnahmen ( fiskalisch, parafiskalisch und andere ) und andererseits die Ausgaben ( laufende Primärausgaben, Zinsausgaben und Kapitalausgaben ) ohne Ausweis der Zwischensalden erfasst.
Die Ertrags- und Aufwandsrechnung entspricht in der Kontensequenz dem Kapitalsaldo, der die Trennung zwischen? reellen? und Finanzkonten bildet.
