Die Fasern eignen sich ferner zur Herstellung von Stoffen wie zum Beispiel dem Nesseltuch, das fester als Leinen ist, ebenso wie für Fischernetze und Stricke.
Die Einzelfasern der Brennnessel können dabei maximal 250 Millimeter betragen, bei Zuchtformen konnte man eine durchschnittliche Faserlänge von 52 Millimetern erreichen.
