Bei Ankunft fällt der erste Blick auf die Insel auf die gewaltigen Klippen, die von abschüssigem Gemeindeland, sog. cotils, bedeckt sind. Im Frühling ist die Insel von Glockenblumen, Grasnelken und Gänseblümchen bewachsen, im Sommer erscheint sie grün und im Herbst dann bronze.
