Gerade hier gab es besonders viele jüdische Wagnerianer, doch auch einer seiner besonders sarkastischen Kritiker, jüdische Feuilletonist Daniel Spitzer, lebte und publizierte in Wien.
Wagners Werk inspirierte nichtjüdische Künstler und Intellektuelle ebenso wie deklarierte Antisemiten und – unter naiver Ausblendung bzw. Umdeutung der antisemitischen Botschaften – einflussreiche jüdische Intellektuelle wie Theodor Herzl oder Otto Weininger.

Hierzu wurden Wissenschaftler, Zeichner, Verleger und Feuilletonisten eingeladen, sodass das Thema aus theoretischer wie praktischer Sicht beleuchtet werden kann.
Ergänzend finden Podiumsdiskussionen statt.
