des Aristokraten Carl von Hügel, der sich aus privatem Interesse auf eine lange Reise nach Indien begibt, des Etymologen Hans Leder, der sich für die mongolische Götterwelt zu interessieren beginnt und des Ethnologen Christoph von Fürer-Haimendorf, der in Zusammenarbeit mit der britischen Kolonialverwaltung in Indien eine Sammlung der Naga anlegte.
Carl von Hügel Die ersten Objekte aus Indien kamen durch Carl Alexander Anselm Freiherr von Hügel in das Museum und wurden mit 441 Inventarnummern zum Grundstock der Indiensammlungen.
