Komplettiert wird das Hausner’sche Bildpersonal durch den Narrenhut, der den Typus des melancholischen Beobachters verkörpert.
Die Ausstellung im Museum Würth zeigt anhand von rund 70 originalen Gemälden aus den Jahren 1936 bis 1995 die Entwicklung der Malerei Hausners – seinen Beginn, der noch am Werk Paul Cézannes orientiert ist, bis hin zu seinem Alterswerk, in dem die großen Formate dominieren.

Hausner ’s pictorial ménage is completed by the Narrenhut, a jester-like figure with hat, who incorporates the type of the melancholic observer.
The exhibition of around 70 original paintings by Hausner dating from 1936 to 1995 at the Museum Würth outlines the artist’s development – from his beginnings, when the oeuvre of Paul Cézanne was still a focus, to his later work, where large formats dominate.
Preliminary studies and sketches elucidate the artist’s particular way of painting, which was extremely protracted, often taking several years because of the architectonic structure and the layered composition.
