The downstream targets of the TrkA receptor have to be detected and analysed.
For this purpose we use the human neuroblastoma cell lines SH-SY5Y and IMR-5, which was modified in a manner that the expression of TrkA can be induced by tetracycline.
To get an insight in the regulation of the downstream targets of TrkA in vitro studies are needed to examine the transcriptome by microarrays (gene chips) and the proteome by protein microarrays.
