Bei wachsender Zahl an untersuchten Werken und Aufnahmen ist natürlich auch denkbar , dass sich schließlich alle historischen , nationalen und gattungsspezifischen Unterschiede verlieren und sich herausstellt , dass das Tempo summa summarum und allüberall letztendlich gleich geblieben ist und bleibt .
Doch werden sich mit Sicherheit im einzelnen immer wieder charakteristische Tempogeschichten ergeben ? wie bei der Appassionata und der Hammerklaviersonate etwa, aber auch bei der B-Dur-Sonate von Franz Schubert ( </span class="code"> 91</a class="code">) </a class="code">?, die über die Rezeption der Werke und damit über diese selbst etwas Maßgebliches zu sagen vermögen.
