Establishment, amalgamation and entrustment for DAkkS Section 8 AkkStelleG sets out that a legal entity under private law may be entrusted with the duties and authorisations of an accreditation body.
The German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWi), which is responsible for the establishment of the national accreditation body, made the decision to establish a new GmbH, which could later be amalgamated with existing organisations and be entrusted.

Gründung, Verschmelzung und Beleihung der DAkkS In § 8 AkkStelleG ist festgelegt, dass eine juristische Person des Privatrechts mit den Aufgaben und Befugnissen einer Akkreditierungsstelle beliehen werden kann.
Das mit der Errichtung der nationalen Akkreditierungsstelle beauftragte Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Technologie (BMWi) entschied sich für die Neugründung einer GmbH, die später mit bestehenden Organisationen verschmolzen und beliehen werden konnte.

With the merger of the formerly private companies under the umbrella of the new Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH and the entrustment of DAkkS, Germany subsequently trusted the infrastructure, experience and technical competencies of the existing players in the accreditation area as a result of the reorganisation.
The current locations of the transferred companies and organisations (Berlin, Frankfurt am Main and Braunschweig) have remained, and the employees of the previous companies and the pool of assessors have also stayed the same.
www.dakks.deDie DAkkS ist durch die Beleihung hoheitlich tätig, unterliegt dem deutschen Verwaltungsrecht und nimmt die Akkreditierungstätigkeiten gemäß Verordnung ( EG ) Nr. 765 / 2008 wahr.
Mit dem Zusammenschluss der ehemals privaten Gesellschaften unter dem Dach der neuen Deutschen Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH und der Beleihung der DAkkS vertraute Deutschland im Zuge der Neuordnung auf die Infrastruktur, Erfahrung und technische Kompetenz der bestehenden Akteure im Bereich der Akkreditierung.
Die bisherigen Standorte der übertragenen Gesellschaften und Organisationen (Berlin, Frankfurt am Main und Braunschweig) blieben als Niederlassungen erhalten, die Mitarbeiter der Vorgängergesellschaften wurden ebenso wie der Pool an Begutachtern übernommen.
