The additional items of information “30 m”, “3 bar” or “3 atm” are not subject to regulation, but nonetheless indicate that the watches which display this information have passed corresponding pressure tests to which their manufacturers have subjected them.
Nonetheless, it is not recommended that such watches be worn while swimming, and surely not while scuba diving.
