In einem heute veröffentlichten Gutachten stellt das EFSA-Gremium für biologische Gefahren (BIOHAZ-Gremium) fest, dass das Risiko der Übertragung klassischer Scrapie durch Insemination und Embryonentransfer bei Schafen und Ziegen vernachlässigbar bis gering ist.
Die Sachverständigen betonen jedoch, dass die vorliegenden Daten nicht ausreichen, um das Risiko als vernachlässigbar einzustufen.
