Mit der Clever Little Bag, einem innovativen Verpackungssystem, das 2010 als Ersatz für den herkömmlichen Schuhkarton eingeführt wurde, erreichte das Unternehmen bereits einen Meilenstein:Der ökologische Fußabdruck von PUMA – und der seiner Kunden – wurde deutlich verringert, indem die Clever Little Bag jährlich mehr als 60% an Papier und Wasser einspart.
2011 veröffentlichte PUMA als erstes Unternehmen weltweit eine ökologische Gewinn- und Verlustrechnung, um die Auswirkungen des operativen Geschäfts von PUMA (Büros, PUMA Stores und Läger) sowie der gesamten Beschaffungskette auf die Umwelt zu erfassen und mit einem monetären Wert zu versehen.
